How does it work?
On this page, you can find how Bright Pages works. Not only do we offer the E-readers, no we do way more. For the teachers, we provide a tracking page and for the children, there are quizzes during the reading of each book. More explanation can be seen below.
For the Kids
Our service offers more than just E-readers, for the children we have the following additions:
We offer quizzes for the children in primary schools, while reading the book. There will be a quiz at the start, middle, and end of the book. This way their pre-knowledge and expectations of the book can be checked. Midway through the reading, the quiz will be more on the topics and the information they have read. The last quiz is to see if they have understood the book and can take key aspects with them after the book is finished.

After finishing a book the kids give their book a score, with the use of stars. This way the teacher and other kids can see how much they enjoyed reading that specific book. A top 10 of best best scored books of the class will be created.

Besides the quizzes the children can see the top 10 books rated in their class. This top 10 gets generated with the use of the scores given by the kids. It is available on every E-reader, to get kids excited to read those books as well. This way they might find an more suitable book.
To help the children in their book selection, they can pick a category and the level they want to read in. 5 Options will appear that fit the selected choices and then one can be picked to read.

For children with that struggle more with reading there is an audio option. Whenever reading by themselves gets to exhausting, they can activate the audio mode and read along with the voice.

For the Teachers
Teachers will not need an E-reader for their reading, but we do offer support for the teacher. We have created a simple and clean interface for the teacher, where the scores and progress of the children can be monitored. For each class of the teacher there is a different pages for the children.
Per child the teacher can see what they are reading and their overall score of the quizzes. If needed, the teacher can see exactly what they did wrong and can help them according the need of the child. The interface helps the teacher by making the monitoring of the children easier.

Also, if the children don't know a certain word they can click on it and the software will provide them with the definition of the word. This way they learn a wide range of grammer. However if a child does this five times or more on one page, it is also an indication that the book is too difficult for them. When this happens the teacher will get a notification and can help the child to find a more suitable book.

Packaging
Because the e-reader is easy to damage, it is important that the e-reader is securely packaged. We will use a pulp inlay, but the lid keeps the product in place. This way the device stays in one place and shifts as little as possible. Because the e-readers are mainly used in schools, the e-readers will be purchased in larger numbers. This makes it possible to package the e-readers together and waste less packaging material. That is why we have chosen an option to purchase 10 e-readers, which are packaged together, see the pictures below. This case also contains the charger so that the e-readers can be easily moved and charged. Because this case also needs to be protected when the e-readers are shipped to the schools, a recycled cardboard box containing sustainable foam will be placed around it. PaperFoam sustainable packaging is environment-friendly during its entire lifecycle. The ingredients - industrial starch, fibers and water - are biobased and renewable. Energy-ficient, low-carbon manufacturing makes for material that is compostable at home or recyclable with paper
